Hemant Kumar

Hemant is a Director of Consulting at Craig & Kumar Management Consulting. When Hemant started his first consulting job with one of the top global consulting firms a dozen years ago, little did he know that consulting would become not just a career but also his passion. The strong bond with his clients and sense of fulfillment from his work inspired him to establish CKMCI with his long time friend Bill Craig. Over the last twelve years Hemant has had such varied and rewarding experiences in consulting that would be the envy of many.

If you were to ask any of Hemant’s clients they will tell you at least these things about him – Hemant is knowledgeable and innovative, and he is reliable. He makes the client look good, and this is because Hemant’s philosophy for every engagement is simple – under promise and over deliver. Hemant has received a number of performance awards in his professional career and takes pride in the fact that almost every consulting project has evolved into bigger engagements.

Hemant excels as a management consultant and has practiced extensively in business transformation, strategy, process improvement and project management. He brings a unique combination of management consulting and project management skills both in business and IT functions. Hemant is an accomplished facilitator, interviewer, problem solver, strategist and practitioner of disciplined project management. Hemant is a strong communicator and is adept in effectively communicating with both business and IT stakeholders.

Hemant has a Masters degree in Computing Science and an MBA from the University of Alberta and continues his learning and professional development through memberships in the Project Management Institute and the Canadian Association of Management Consultants. Hemant is a Certified Management Consultant. As an avid lover of Indian classsical music and a trained singer in his own right Hemant never misses an opportunity for a good classical concert. Hemant is a volunteer for the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Alberta and a number of other community organizations.
